The index of all the issues in the first twelve years of The European English Messenger (from I/1 to XII/2) was compiled by Martin A. Kayman, former editor (1998-2003), and was published in issue XII/2. It can now be downloaded in Word, rtf or pdf format.
The tables of contents of all the issues from the very first "zero" issue (Autumn 1990) are available below (the issues to be identified by date or by cover design). From issue XV/1 (Spring 2006), articles from The Messenger are also available for download in pdf format. This new service is restricted to members of ESSE who receive the printed edtion of the newsletter. A password is required to open these pdf documents. The password is to be found in the printed issue of The Messenger. |

Subscriptions
While The European English
Messenger is distributed to all members
of
the national associations which make up ESSE, individual subscriptions
for non-members are available for 30 Euros per annum. Library
subscriptions
cost 45 Euros. Please contact the Treasurer. Information

of ESSE are most welcome.
Articles
should deal with matters of interest to a broad range of our c. 7,200
members
- or rather, deal with matters in which the author is expert in such a
way that they are of interest to colleagues who work in other areas of
English Studies. In its role as broker for information, contacts and
resources, The
Messenger also features notices of research centres and projects,
annotated
bibliographical checklists for various areas of interest, annotated
links
to Internet resources for scholarship and teaching, interviews,
conference
reports and book reviews.
