Apart from professors and lecturers, it also welcomes assistants, part-time teachers, and doctoral students.
The current chairperson of NSES is Ton Hoenselaars, English Department, Utrecht University.
Its current secretary is Wim van der Wurff, Leiden University.
NSES holds an annual meeting for its members. There is a
rotating
system
whereby the universities in the country take turns.
NSES has a journal,which is entitled ESSENSES (combining the name of
the Dutch organisation and that of the European organisation), and
which
is published twice a year.
