Apart from professors and lecturers, assistants, it also welcomes part-time teachers and advanced students.

The current secretary is Dr. Péter Szaffkó, whose

is permanent.
HUSSE holds biennial major conferences covering all areas of English Studies, and smaller occasional conferences about once a year, which focus on specific fields.
The newsletter ("HUSSE News") has been replaced by the website.
