The number of fee-paying members in 2007 is 610.
Apart from professors and lecturers, assistants, it also welcomes part-time teachers and advanced students, as long as they hold a Ph.D.
The current Chairperson of the association is Prof. Dr Klaus
Stierstorfer, Head of Department of the “Englisches Seminar” and Vice
Dean of Philology at the Westfaelische Wilhelms-Universitaet Muenster.

The association holds an annual conference.
It circulates a newsletter/journal, "Anglistik: Mitteilungen des
Deutschen
Anglistenverbandes", twice a year.
