AASE was founded in 2004.
The association is open to higher education teachers over the
age of
24 actively involved in English studies.
The current Chairperson of the Armenian Association for the Study of
English is Professor Seda
Gasparian.
The current Secretary is Lili Karapetyan, Associate Prof.
The current Treasurer is Ophelia Poghosian.
It publishes a journal entitled Armenian Folia Anglistica.
On 27-30 October, 2004, it organized its first international conference.
